Very sturdy but the directions were not very clear. Just so you know you will have to have a drill to put in some screws. I got this ladder for my above ground pool. The ladder that came with my pool is flimsy and unsafe so we needed something more sturdy and wider. This ladder fits those needs! Unfortunately I didn’t realize that I would need to add sand into it (makes sense) and so I haven’t gotten to put it in my pool yet. However, I can tell that it will be perfect.
