Very sturdy but the directions were not very clear. Just so you know you will have to have a drill to put in some screws. These stairs were so easy to put together I was amazed. Just make sure to follow the directions because we put all the stairs in when we were just supposed to put the first one on and we had to then take them all off which was a little trickery. I got this ladder for my above ground pool. The ladder that came with my pool is flimsy and unsafe so we needed something more sturdy and wider. This ladder fits those needs! It does the job providing shade. We use two in a 30’ round pool. Nice to not bake in the sun. Stays put on fairly breezy days. My concern is every velcro tab that hold the top to the gazebo frame, has a hole in each corner, where it’s sewn to the fabric. I don’t know how long that will hold up. While I did not purchase this for anything other than to hold planters, it is PERFECT for that purpose. For the first time, I tried to save my outdoor plants over the northeast winter, but I lost most of them because they werent getting enough sun on the floor of my bathroom (and besides, they were kind of in my way). This easy assembly 2 step gray pool ladder is not really that easy to assemble the instructions are not 100 clear but its double. Its a good looking poolhot tub ladder very steady and very strong.
