Still waiting on the chairs for this table. The base is heavy and the wood is excellent quality. I wish the tabletop were about an inch thicker, as it is quite thin with a very thick/dense base which throws off the aesthetics a bit. I’m super happy with this. I almost didn’t buy it and looked for a long time to buy something else because of the one review that talks about crumbs getting in the crevices and having to vacuum it. I really hate crumbs and all of that but so far, it’s not been a big issue for me whatsoever. I have vacuumed it a couple times but they come right out. The crevice is not so small that they really get stuck in there. It’s beautiful and well worth the prize. I was looking at things that were three times the amount for this level of quality.. Lora. Beautiful table! Easy to assemble with 2 people. (I would definitely recommend 2 people, I don't even know how it would be possible for 1 person...) The finish is not a dark brown/walnut, it has an orange tint to the wood tone. Can seat 6 people comfortably. (I highly doubt you can fit 8 people.) It's almost been a year and the table is still standing. We use it every night for our family of 5, and it's the go to table when guests arrive. HOWEVER, the table is starting to become squeaky. Any time you apply weight to the tabletop, or try to move the table, it squeaks.... LOUDLY. We've lubricated all the screws and joints, placed felt between the joining wood parts, and tightened the screws. It still makes A LOT of noise. We would LOVE to find a remedy to this problem, because we LOVE the table.
