The drawers are deep and they hold a lot of stuff. I opted for the white glove delivery and I’m glad I did. It took two men to put it together and carry it up to our second floor bedroom. The wood color is more reddish brown than the photo. It was initially a bit much, but It’s growing on me. The distressing effect is a bit too heavy, overdone (see the closeup photos). This bed is beautiful. It was actually very easy to put together also. We have a 13” mattress on ours, so it feels really tall. I love the color. It’s a beigegray. Just know that since it’s a sleigh bed, it will stick out away from the wall. It ended up about 3 inches longer than my panel bed before. The drawers are deep and open pretty easily.
