This manufacturer recommends using a professional rug cleaner on an annual basis.

Arrived ahead of schedule. It was wrapped beautifully, and although it was heavy (9 x 13), my husband and I, both seniors, unwrapped and placed on the 9x 13 rug pad that we ardered also. We trimmed one side of the rug pad only, and rug was ready for smoothing. We placed books on corners and along edges overnight. Next morning we moved furniture in place. Just perfect.
