One of the earlier paintings of the California landscape the artist held most dear, this work was a natural outcropping of Hill's study with the Hudson River School of painters where he first acquired the technique of painting en plein air. You can choose our standard version or we also have a drop-down menu above that allows you to add optional LED lighting. With the LED version, we use two metal cut-outs to give it a 3d look. In between the two metal cut-outs, we use wireless LED strip lighting. The LEDs are battery-powered (no cords) and come with a remote control to change the color or apply effects such as strobe or color fade. *batteries not included*. All of our pieces are handcrafted in Austin, Texas. We were very disappointed in the large Bierstadt reprint (Grande). It should have been scanned at a higher resolution so that when the print was enlarged, the image wouldn't be SO rasterized (you can easily see the matrix of pixels!) The picture looks like it has been photocopied multiple times - absolutely NO detail. It looks okay from a distance, minimum 20 feet. Unfortunately we purchased this for a physician's office waiting room so it looks pretty bad. The joy of a Bierstadt painting is in it's exquisite detail. This picture is an insult to the artist, the art lover, the unsuspecting customer and the poor people sitting in the waiting room. This was our first purchase from Design Toscano and based on this product, I doubt I would ever order from you again. You specialize in various art reproductions and I would have thought you would have had higher standards. If you can't produce a decent image enlargement, you should never have offered it. Granted, I wasn't expecting a super high-quality print for this price however I think the print we got was really inferior. I think your catalog should have included a couple of detail shots so that the buyer might make a better purchasing decision.
