No. But it is extremely helpful. These are things I was ready for, but some other buyers might not be ready for. This is an RF controlling device. While it makes some devices a little easier to use it does not make those devices "smart". If you have someone who likes to use the remotes a lot, the app will show incorrect settings for those devices that have changed with the remote. This does not bug me, but for someone who is not ready for that, make sure you understand what this device is first. I highly recommend Bond. This is an affordable way to use what you already have. Less devices in the landfill for replacements, and a pretty great way to control my devices from my phone. We were so excited to install this exhaust fan in our kids’ bathroom! The fan itself is beautiful and feels very well made, and I was especially impressed by how carefully and securely everything was packaged. It arrived in perfect condition and definitely feels like a quality product. Unfortunately, once we got into the installation, we discovered it just isn’t going to work in our particular space. This unit is a little larger than a standard bathroom vent fan, which requires enlarging our existing ceiling opening. After removing the old fan, we found that the nearby air duct, vent, and electrical wiring make it impossible for us to safely enlarge the opening enough to accommodate the new unit. We’re genuinely disappointed we can’t use it because we were really looking forward to the upgraded features in our kids’ bathroom. This is not an issue with the product itself at all, just an unfortunate limitation of our existing construction.
