This Fan is being used in an Enclosed outdoor Patio. I mounted it on a 4x4 wood post and it has great performance. The Left pull chain controls the 3-speed fan motor, and the right pull chain controls the oscillating feature. Even on the lowest fan speed, this fan puts out a lot of air. Really powerful fan! It has the option of a cool mist that's great for dry air. You can use it separate from the fan as well. It also has a cooling function. You put water in the base and add the ice packs that are included to make the fan blow cooler air. It's not nearly as cool as an air conditioner but it's better than hot dry air blowing when it's too warm out. It comes with 4 ice packs so you can use two and have two in the freezer to switch out. The fan looks really nice and doesn't take up a large footprint. It has given me the ability to put off using the air conditioner a bit. Easy to install and looks good in the space. I’m most impressed with the fan noise, at max speed it sounds like a table fan or similar to white noise and not like a steam engine like most range hoods.
