Safety always comes first with infants, especially around stairs. Blocking access to the top of the stairs, the KidCo G2000 Safeway Top of Stairs Baby Gate ensures your child can't reach the stairs by themselves, stopping accidents. Securing firmly to your wall with the mounting hardware, the baby gate provides a strong block that your child cannot dislodge or open on their own. The safety gate easily opens with one hand using the easy-release lever, ideal for adults carrying boxes or children. If the gate's in the way even when open, the quick-release hardware lets you conveniently remove the entire gate. Constructed from heavy-duty steel, the gate features a non-toxic powder coat that resists corrosion and damage while remaining secure for use around pets and infants. Designed specifically for stairs, the gate also blocks hallways, divides rooms, and secures high-traffic corridors, helping keep infants and even smaller pets away from dangerous thoroughfares. The stairway gate fits any opening as small as 24.75 inches up to 42.5 inches wide, great for adapting to different doorway sizes. Blocking off dangerous areas to ensure your infant's safety, the durable and convenient Safeway Top of Stairs Baby Gate by KidCo helps baby-proof your home.

Easy to set up. Vincent. Shirley, NY. Sat Aug 12 2023

The tension-mount design allows the gate to stay firmly in place with rubber stoppers without damaging wall surfaces. The gate door opens in both directions for ease of movement from room to room. The latched gate handle locks/unlocks easily with one hand. Now your pet can be safe and comfortable in any space with a doorway 32.1"-36” wide. Designed for dogs 8.8 - 44 lbs. Extension to add 4” of width sold separately. Before installation: At first glance, your gate will have a “V-shaped” gap between the gate door and the mainframe. This is not a defect. This gap will close properly as you tighten the adjuster knobs. The adjuster knobs are designed to control the entire setup of the gate once the adjuster bolts and extensions are set in place. This is part of the overall design of the tension-mount gate.

One of our favorite gates ever—highly recommend! We have been through a TON of gates over the years, mostly when our kids were small, but recently we needed a new one to keep our puppy safe. This might honestly be one of my favorites yet. A few things that make it stand out Super easy to install My husband had it up and ready to go in no time. Auto-close feature It closes on its own perfectly, which is a massive lifesaver when youre busy or rushing through. Fantastic value It feels incredibly solid and well-made, especially given the price point. For comparison, our other gate (which weve had for a long time and still use for our puppy elsewhere) was easily 2 to 3 times more expensive than this one, yet it doesnt even have an auto-close feature. You really dont need to overspend to get a great, high-quality gate. This one is excellent!. Sara. OH. Tue Jul 07 2026
