To make a wall plate, two pieces of glass are cut, cleaned, stacked together and placed into a kiln. The kiln goes up to 1450°f, the glass becomes molten and fuses together to make one piece of glass. The glass goes to a water jet and the plate is cut out. Then, the glass is placed onto a mold and taken to 1300°f, the glass becomes elastic and gravity pulls the glass over the mold. Hot knobs call this process slumping. The glass spends about 48 hours in the kilns. Expect slight variations in color and size.

The clean plate is a screwless; retrofit cover that replaces a new and existing electrical switch and socket cover plates with a fresh and modern look while keeping your existing switches and sockets. The clean plate will give a clean finishing touch to any room. What makes the clean plate different from other covers, is the clean plate can be custom laser engraved to identify what a switch operates, eliminating the confusion of what turns on what. Additionally, the clean plate is easily removed and replaced for cleaning, painting, maintenance, etc., by the use of high-powered rare earth magnets. Each clean plate is manufactured in the USA out of aluminum, or 24-gauge stainless steel (not plastic), and can be custom laser engraved at no extra charge. Perfect for the home, business, vacation rentals, hotels, group homes and anywhere else, easy switch identification and cleaning are wanted.
