Very quiet compared to most brands I’ve had. I do think it could be a littler cooler on max but it will eventually cooldown the room and maintain good temp after. This little window AC is a power unit.  We purchased it for my husbands shop he is building and tried it out in our garage and it works great. It was instantly cold as soon as we turned it on.  It is also pretty quiet.  It is fairly inexpensive and sits on the window well. It was also very well packaged. We got this air conditioner and it was missing the installation kit. The company did send another one, but I’m getting emails about a 65 tariff fee to have it shipped. We took the installation kit off of our old air conditioner and used it and so far the air conditioner is working great! It did make a funny noise after the first rain, then it started working fine again. It cools the room better than my old one even turned on a low setting and is fairly quiet. We did have a smaller window a/c unit that was just ok, but this one is a game-changer! It has a/c AND heat! Year-round comfort! It’s powerful enough to cool our entire garage (and we live in the South-so it definitely has its work cut out for it). The heater doesn’t exactly heat the whole room when it’s super cold out, but it definitely takes the chill out of the air and warms it sufficiently to make it possible to use the room in winter. It is recommended that you wait 24 hours to turn your unit on after it arrives. I went against that recommendation because it was absolutely sweltering in my studio space that had nothing but a fan. I purchased two of these bad boys to cover 1030 ft.² of open space with 18ft ceilings. I met FedEx AT THE DOOR! And they brought them in for me and set each unit at each window I wanted them to be placed. So delivery was smooth and easy. The installation instructions were easy to understand and the units took no more than 10 minutes each to be installed. NOTE: you will need some weather tape to seal off some gaps, but that’s to be expected. It was likely about 90° in my space before I turned them on and these had me feeling much cooler and more comfortable within about 30 minutes (run on medium at 68°) and after about an hour and a half, I didn’t feel the need to run them on medium anymore. They’re pretty quiet on the low fan cool setting, but of course they are louder on medium and high but nothing that will disturb my peace in my studio. having a window AC unit is not the prettiest thing so I can’t speak to aesthetics but I’m very happy with these —my problem has been solved.. Ensure you read the manual prior to purchasing. Unfortunately, due to design, the max window depth is 11", we initially tried to install on a 12" depth, and that did not work, as the clamps got in the way... The unit is whisper quiet depending on the setting. Even on high, it’s much more quiet than the traditional non inverter units. It’s worth the bump in price.
