It is recommended that you wait 24 hours to turn your unit on after it arrives. I went against that recommendation because it was absolutely sweltering in my studio space that had nothing but a fan. I purchased two of these bad boys to cover 1030 ft.² of open space with 18ft ceilings. I met FedEx AT THE DOOR! And they brought them in for me and set each unit at each window I wanted them to be placed. So delivery was smooth and easy. The installation instructions were easy to understand and the units took no more than 10 minutes each to be installed. NOTE: you will need some weather tape to seal off some gaps, but that’s to be expected. It was likely about 90° in my space before I turned them on and these had me feeling much cooler and more comfortable within about 30 minutes (run on medium at 68°) and after about an hour and a half, I didn’t feel the need to run them on medium anymore. They’re pretty quiet on the low fan cool setting, but of course they are louder on medium and high but nothing that will disturb my peace in my studio. having a window AC unit is not the prettiest thing so I can’t speak to aesthetics but I’m very happy with these —my problem has been solved.. I am overjoyed this replacement unit seems to work! The temperature hasn't soared yet, so I'll wait until it does to give a proper assessment. At first glance of the packaging though, I felt I was getting a working unit. Box was clean and inside was brand new. There were no dents on the uniot like the first one. I plugged it in and it actuall blew air, unlike the first one. So, so far, so good. Thanks to Rashad @ Customer Service for being so decisive in getting the replacement to me so quickly! Cheers.. Perfect fit! Unit works great!. Ditty. NJ. Thu Dec 19 2019

This is it, The old adage applies here you get what you pay for. This unit is the best. Quite efficient and a remote as well. I have a large area so I didn’t expect the temperature to drop fast. This brought the temperature to my desired setting and keeps it there. The consumption on the electric will tell over time but for my comfort and piece of mind it is priceless. When I got the unit I left it sitting for about five days and it’s working perfectly. Leaving it unplugged upon arrival for a day or two allows the Freon and oil to settle back down and not damage the unit, this is a must with anything that has Freon. Burns. Rareford Nc.
