The bed went together fairly easily, even with one person! For a few of the steps, I had it leaning on the wall with a blanket for extra protection, but the pieces went together smoothly with little extra effort. The most time consuming part was simply attaching the bed slats, which was quick with a drill. This bed came with two boxes that arrived on separate dates. I was excited about it at first, but have been feeling a bit, overwhelmed with the idea of having to build it now. I am updating my review after building the bed. It took two men to build 3 12 hours. The instructions on where to place the ladder could’ve been made more clear. The wood is very solid nice smooth finish the white oak is nice. I don’t think that this bed would show well.
