I've only put two chairs together but wanted to share a pic lest I forget later. I don't know if this is solid teak or a laminate (seems solid), but it's a rich color you'd expect to see in a tiki bar, which is what I'm going for. I do see inconsistencies in the finish that might ultimately lead to some of the negativity that I read in some reviews. We love these. We purchased the 'green' color chairs (the color to me is like kermit the frog green). The are a little more light weight than I thought they would be, I hope they don't blow over in a strong wind. They seem really well constructed. One of the legs on one of the 6 was slightly bent upon arrival. I bet with some effort I could bend it back. They are aluminum not steel.
