Looks just like it did in the pictures. I was worried it might appear too rustic for our living room but it does not. It was fairly easy to put together, having a second set of hands definitely helped. Thankfully, unlike the experience of some reviewers, all the the holes lined up perfectly for us. This is a beautiful crate. Perfect size for my 15 pound dog. It's obviously so much nicer than a traditional metal crate.
