It also has a larger overall fan and puts out an increased amount of circulated air. It has many different settings. So far I am happy with the sound level and how it cools down the room better than my old fan. The only thing that is a little different is the sleep mode and the natural mode seem to operate by fluctuating the speed. I don't really care for those modes but the Normal mode is consistent and does a great job. Overall I recomment this fan, The price is MUCH lower than similar fans with these features. I was looking for something for our guest room in our Florida home that would help make our guests feel they were on vacation and this fit the bill. We've thrilled with our purchase. The only negative is that the remote changes the light warmth but not necessarily the brightness - there is no dimming option on remote.
