Once you do the base, I found the rest to be easy to build. It doesnt fit large shoe sizes (mens us 11.5) that well unless I angle them but fits my shoes perfectly. I am loving my new shoe cabinet. I struggled with shoes all over the house and not being able to locate my two boy’s shoes before an outing. This has taken care of my problem and it looks amazing. I found it relatively simple to put this together. The colors match the photos. The only issues I found is that the knobs on the doors didn't match the holes, and there is an imperfection in the lining; there is a white rim around the wicker of the door and there were some gaps in it.
