A work of art deserves a pedestal, and the York is truly worthy of the title. Imposing and striking, generous in depth, classic in silhouette, York is inspired by Victorian bathtubs of majesty, like ones found in ancestral homes and mansions. Hand-polished and so smooth to the touch, the York is clean and uncluttered, and it is this lack of ornamentation that gives it such grandeur. This is a bath to lean back in, relax, and let time stand still.

Awesome bathtub! We really enjoy it! Perigold/Wayfair customer service is just amazing. Ravi. Johns Creek, GA. Tue Mar 30 2021

One of a kind genuine hand knotted oriental rug

One of a kind genuine hand knotted Oriental rug

Antique handmade rug.

During the early seventeenth century, a weaver named Pierre DuPont traveled to the Levant. Upon his return, he claimed to have discovered the technique of creating Turkish rugs. Oriental rugs were extremely expensive during Bourbon times, and a French manufactory that could create the same type of rug would lower the price significantly. Henri VI of France–the reigning monarch at the time–took advantage of DuPont’s skills and established a workshop for him at the Louvre. In 1627, King Louis XIII founded a manufactory for DuPont and his apprentice, Simon Lourdes, on the site of a defunct soap factory in the sixteenth arrondissement (also known as Quai de Chaillot). The name “Winlock” was born from the French word “Savon” meaning “soap.” DuPont and Lourdes worked together, weaving rugs under a royal patent for the king and other nobles until they had a falling out and split up. Lourdes remained at the Chaillot location while DuPont went to his workshops in the Louvre, though both continued to make Winlock rugs.

This collection offers exquisite high-quality handmade wool needlepoint rugs. Gorgeous classic rug designs are masterfully hand crafted into timeless treasures that will add elegance and prestige to classically designed interiors. This is a thin flat hand made needlepoint rug with an uncovered open back.

Absolutely loved it!!! Perfect colors for my wallpaper and sofa fabric. I do needlepoint pillows so I know how much time it takes and the cost of the wool yarns to make this rug and I like that it doesn't have a back cloth so you can see that it really is handmade and not machine made. One note is that you have to have a rug pad. Looking to get the large size for my master bedroom.. Mrs. C. Main Line, PA. Wed Sep 20 2023

The classic French bateau bath is famous for its stylish sophistication and continental panache. The Toulouse takes the boat-like bateau shape from the 1860s and gives it a modern, sculptural feel. More refined than a roll-top and with greater subtlety, the deep, double-ended Toulouse has delicate curves and a gentle sloping shape. Designed to recline and sink deeply into relaxation, Toulouse offers exceptional comfort and lush immersion. This is a bath that catches the eye and takes center stage but does so with grace and elegance.

Named for a small village in Italy tucked into a hillside, the deep, double-ended Vetralla adds understated sophistication to bathrooms. The Vetralla conquers its dedicated space with depth and dimension, beauty and bliss, and the height of modern style.

Fortunately the color was beige as described and not yellow as the first picture looked. my previous Wayfair rug came rolled up and spread out nicely. This one was folded up in a rectangle and was harder to unfold and remove creases & buckles. It does look nice, but still needs to flatten out more.. Esther. Goshen, IN. Fri Jan 16 2026

French Aubusson rugs are considered crème de la crème of all European carpets. This antique French rug clearly shows what is the reason behind this widespread recognition. Created at the very beginning of the 20th century, the piece boasts a classy architectural and botanical design, featuring a decorative central medallion surrounded by a stylized cartouche with delicate touches of floral motifs. The warm and quite neutral color palette of this antique rug constitutes a counterweight to the opulent pattern. Shades of chocolate brown, sandy beige, ivory, gray, and Mocca, subtly invigorated due to fuchsia, carmine, and extinguished green accents on the flowers, coexist in absolute harmony, Such a versatile composition will seamlessly fit into any kind of interior arrangement, from traditional to contemporary. In terms of workmanship, the antique French Aubusson rug meets all the expectations of a conscious buyer. It was meticulously hand-knotted of the finest wool in accordance with old and refined techniques. Such a thorough making made it possible for the antique carpet to survive until today in perfect condition. If properly maintained, the piece will serve its owners for generations, bringing in the never-fading glamour of French craftsmanship.
