This pendant light is HUGE! A definite showstopper. I had my eye on it for a long time and I’m glad I decided to go for it. The only negative is the price. In terms of complexity, it’s literally a bulb with a canopy. Nothing out of this world. For the price, that’s a little disheartening because you’re basically paying for the woven canopy and 500 for a lamp shade is A LOT! The wire and chain is about 3 ft long. I had to buy a swag kit and rewire the entire thing so that it would be long enough to hang over my breakfast nook. At the end of the day, I LOVE IT and it was all worth it!. Kevin. FL. After the removal of the old light fixture from the ceiling, I bolt the bracket that comes with this light fixture to the ceiling using the screws from the old lighting fixture, so no need to do any modification to the ceiling end. The cable is longer than we needed so I just cut it short and then tight up the nut again. The bulb is easy to source since it has a standard socket. It is made with rattan so put it away from kids especially toddlers as my kids broke two rattans before I get a chance to install. The metal frame is sturdy.
