The idea behind this is brilliant. I just wasn't so sure about the dimensions provided to order the correct item for my lights - and I didn't. The outside width is 5" and the inside clips to hold inside the recessed can are 4." If this lasts less than the 50,000 hours advertised, I would be hesitant as throwing away a single light bulb seems environmentally preferable to throwing away this entire apparatus. One star deducted for lack of adequate dimensions in the listing. I didn't get to try the various settings because, alas, my smallest can light is actually 6 inches, so I'll have to try the appropriate size. Great quality that will work great for my dusk to dswn light in my driveway. I live in a very rural area with no street lighting so it get realky dark out when there is cloud cover and this light will illuminate my walkways front of the house and garage area ao that coming home at night will be safer.
