I needed something thin that would still allow my office chair to roll over it freely, and this fir the bill. I like the nice subtle design. It really balances out the darkness of my wood paneled room with the more contemporary light colored and metal furniture. It really ties the room together. It also cleans up easily - no issues with any of my vacuums. Though it is somewhat thin, it's still heavy enough to stay put when vacuuming. I deducted one star because I noticed after about a year or so, the rug started losing its shape ever so slightly in the area where my chair rolls around. Like it was bubbling/warping a bit. First, unfortunately I had to return this rug but NOT because I don't love it- i just didn't fit the space I wanted to place it. I need a different size. This is a nice rug - edging did start to unravel where I tried to pull of the tag (please cut it off). It's nice and sturdy, lays well. I would gut a rug pad underneath, though. The polyester fabric is super soft - like those plush blankets - and also is terrible to vacuum. My vacuum only have 2 settings: floor and carpet and both are too close to the carpet and it can't get air and sucks the carpet right up to the base of the vacuum. So can vacuum if I stand on it and pull the vacuum along it a little at a time. Just annoying and extra work. Also if you plan to lay on it (or your kids do) the static electricity is going to make sure all the pet hair on it sticks to your clothes!
