This tropical plant is not frosted tolerant and cannot survive in temperatures below 60°F. Accommodate mature size or when planting in groups, space 3 ft. to 5 ft. away from other plants or structures. Thrives in most nutrient-rich, well-draining soils. Grown indoors as a house plant, the Croton needs lots of bright indirect light, when grown outdoors in warm climates, sites with morning sun and afternoon shade.
