Bought this double screen door because we were screening the deck at our lake house. We have extra wide steps up to the deck and needed a door wider than the standard 32 or 36 inch. Listing said for width less than 68" it could be modified, so we decided to go for it. I was surprised, the instructions were complete, clear, and easy to follow. (So often you get the skimpy badly translated ones.) With a little help from a neighbor we got 2 sets, front and back of deck, installed in about 3-4 hours. Hubby is a metal fabricator, not a carpenter, but he said it was pretty easy once he understood their system. I would say it's a 2 person job, unless you're a really good carpenter. We have 1 side set as a stationary sidelight, only opening the other side. We'll put some planters or knick knacks on the steps in front of the stationary side. When dried it has a clear finish, unlike polyurethane products, which will leave a sticky yellowish residue. Now, my wife and daughter got the base started and then asked for my help, I never questioned whether or not they started it correctly so perhaps they missed a step. The door is like waist high to my 6’ frame so it’s a definite crouch to get in there. I can stand in between the “roof trusses”. It has a good appearance and I wonder how it will hold up to the AZ monsoon winds. I used spiral drill in anchors to pin it down, no way the little stakes it came with will keep this in our yard in high winds. I am contemplating what to do in a couple years when the top is sun rotted away, there are only a few trusses to make the roofline and while it looks great, it does not take much to push it off level/plumb. To my amazement, this came in three relatively small, but heavy boxes and we were a few nuts and bolts short but they at least give you a spare parts bag, which had enough to complete the build. Be prepared that this comes in literally hundreds of individual pieces so it can look overwhelming, just follow it step by step and comes together rather nicely, be patient nd take your time. It really is an amazing engineering feat to get this big ole enclosure in these three little boxes. Overall, I am pretty happy with it. I wish the top had the same level of structure (aka bars) as the walls so the fabric top can be optional for predators and when it simply rots away but it would be easy enough to just get some netting and/or a shade later.. During installation, we noticed a small dent at the bottom, but when I contacted Wayfair’s customer service, the representative offered 20 credit instead of requiring a return—absolutely amazing service. The unit came 99 pre-assembled all we needed to do was install the 2 foot brackets with two screws and follow the instructions to complete the pergola setup. We’re very impressed with both the quality and the functionality—being able to adjust the louvers separately at the top and bottom, with a full 180° open and close, is a fantastic feature. Just moved to the desert and it was one of the first things we did to be able to use the patio while unpacking boxes. We bought 2 and really happy we did. I really like this awning. It's easy to assemble and install. I did not take into account that it is NOT hail resistant. A hail storm ruined the panels, as hail went right through the panels. I ordered another one, because I really like the awning and its application.
