We just had it installed yesterday. Recommend that you get a print out of the specifications and the installation. From what I was able to read in Wayfare’s description section, we would be able to install the unit flush with the ceiling. And unfortunately, because I didn’t have printed specifications we had to drop down the unit a foot from the ceiling. Not the inconspicuous flush mount unit and I was hoping for. According to my contractor, this was a very complicated unit to install. To be fair this is a relatively new category of range top hoods that are being offered. Pleased with the noise level, but have yet to cook with it. Read reviews from other previous purchasers, and a common statement was how small the remote controller was. This waterslide was awesome, but definitely for commercial use only. I purchased this in hopes to have something grand for the kids to play with in the backyard all summer and invite friends over, etc. That was not the case because it was 375 lbs... my fault for not paying attention to that and we ended up having to return because it took 5 guys to unload and set it up.
