I LOVE this rug!! It's always kind of iffy buying a rug on-line with not very many pics to look at but, I am so pleased! It is light but, muted at the same time which is exactly what I was going for on our dark hard wood floors. I wanted some light colors but not bold... it is perfect for what I was going for. I hope the pics help you.. they always do for me :) Also, I will need to obviously get a non-slip for underneath as it will move... also, do not plan for this rug to be able to go under the front door so may sure your measurements are on (measured to 3'X5'1" not counting the little fringe). I took a gamble on this rug because there weren't many reviews and I find it SO hard to be able to gauge how a rug will actually look when buying online. Gamble paid off- it's GREAT! The colors are subtle but are not boring in the slightest. I chose this rug because of the burnt orange in it and wanted to compliment the color of the brick chimney in our room. It worked perfectly without being too much. It is almost silky to the touch when walking which was a complete surprise. It's a very low pile, but that's what we wanted for the kitchen. I added a thin pad to it which gave it a little bit of softness but also allowed it to remain laying very flat (the corners took a few days). No bunching or rolling up or tripping! Would be easy to cut off. Soft feel & short pile (same pile height throughout). No smell. Actual size is about 8' 8" × 11' 8". Just a few creases which came out quickly and easily by rolling it up overnight. Colours/patterns are from truly woven coloured threads (ie the colours are NOT merely printed on the surface print, thankfully!). Lovely to walk on & touch. I used a 6mm (1/4 inch) felt underpad.
