Temperatures are much easier to contribute than my previous range, and everything I've made in the oven has come out perfectly. If I had to improve anything, it would be two things, I would appreciate dials that were easier to read. The writing on them is small and not hard to see in low light. The other thing is the indicator bell when the oven reaches temperature is faint and it's not as obvious to read when the temperature is reached. But otherwise I love everything about it! I was shocked (though I obviously shouldn't have been) to see that the water and electrical hookups had moved completely, making the install much more complicated for me. On the other hand, the newer leveling procedure is much nicer. Of course, we're still just getting used to it, but I fully expect this new Benchmark version to last at least as long as the old "800" model did, and be just as easy to live with. (Full disclosure, the old one would still be running fine if "someone" hadn't taken a tumble on the open door!) So far, my only quibble (and it's a large one) is that the Delay Start button has been moved to ONLY the app and is no longer on the control panel. At least let it be part of your Favorites settings! Our default has been to set a 2 hour delay when we start the dishwasher, but I doubt I'll be willing to use the app just to do that. I LOVE the new interior lighting!. Ericb. Fri May 01 2026

Pros: It fits nicely in the space of my previous range - I like the "lip" on the sides. Top is easy to clean. Indicator shows status of oven preheat. Telescoping rack is great. So for that I highly recommend. However, it does have a few frustrating "features". The racks are difficult to use for a number of reasons. In the two months I've been using my machine, I still don't know the best way to load it. The top rack is OK (not great) but the bottom rack is bad. You can't put anything in the front half of the rack between the tines because everytime you push the rack in the dishes fall towards the back. I love having the flex tray at the top but the handle design is terrible and it is always coming loose. And on all the racks the tines that you can lay down never want to stay in place. The control panel has bright LED lights but the icons aren't lit up, which means at night when you want to use the machine you can't see the buttons because you're blinded by bright white light bars. Lastly, I put the machine online, which was handy for setting up washing cycles, but the other day it mysteriously disconnected from my phone and now I can't get the machine back online again.. Matt. This is the quietest range hood I have ever used with an unique design. The installation is straight forward for most with video tutorial online that's readily available. I went with a professional installation. This range hood is rated at 1100cfm and the unique design has worked very well. My home no longer smells even when I deep fry. I did two modifications for my installation. I went with a Zephyr 6"-8" duct increaser. The reason I did this is because the range hood is rated over 1000cfm. This might not be necessary but it's a choice I made for myself because of the rated CFM. My installation required a 4" spacer piece. I used 6" 10-32 fine thread screws to secure my upper cabinet to the range hood to make up the 4" spacer difference. This is not necessary according to Fotile but I went the extra mile for $13 more in screws, bolts, and washers. So far I am very satisfied with how quiet and powerful it is. We liked the "boxy" look of this model as opposed to the "awning" style look of most undercab hoods. We also liked that this had the option for connection to ducting out the back of the hood, which made this easy to duct outside (we didn't have to go up into the cabinet, just ducted straight back outside). Install was fairly easy (just screwed in two "runners" under our cabinets, then slotted the hood onto those runners, screwed in place, and then installed the mesh screens). Overall it runs quietly and does a decent job sucking up fumes from our induction stovetop. If I had a gas range I might opt for something more powerful (but we didn't want too many CFMs as we believe that would have forced us to introduce make-up or return air into our kitchen to meet local codes). My new Bosch is great but I really don't like the new 3rd tier top drawer, stem glass holder, and reduced size silverware basket. I recently started reusing the the full-size silverware basket from my old dishwasher, which thankfully I did not discard. I'm hoping that the flap that holds stemware in place can be easily removed since we normally do not use stemware and it makes loading ordinary glasses difficult. Fits great as this is one of the standard sizes. A little hard to install retroactively but we got it eventually. Light and fan both work great. Fan has two speeds which both work effectively.
