The bed is very attractive and extremely sturdy. I bought the wheels which make it easy to move. This planter is beautiful and looks to be very well made and durable. I suspect it will last through several Chicago winters. I wish I had known that there is no "bottom" to the container - as we intend to use it on a rooftop deck. This planter is meant to be placed over soil. I also wish they would provide a way to section off the lower part of the planter, so that not so much soil needs to be used. My toddler asked for a garden for his birthday, so I searched all over the internet to find something durable, made of safe/quality materials, a good size for a toddler, and affordable. I ordered well before his birthday expecting a long ship time, but surprisingly it arrived at the door within days. It took 2 adults roughly 1. 5 hours to assemble with minimal issues (though I suspect my dad kept reading the directions wrong lol). It’s the perfect size for herbs and flowers, while being a great height for young kids! We took our toddler to a few garden shops and collected a pepper plant, basil, oregano, thyme, cilantro, a petunia, and 2 marigolds. Everything fits well. Our toddler is so happy and so proud of his garden. It’s been 2 weeks and all his plants have doubled or tripled in size, AND there’s a pepper growing. My parents like his garden so much, they want one for their porch too. I’m even thinking we will get a second one as a Christmas gift. I’m happy to have found something designed intentionally for a child that allows him to explore gardening and learn to respect where our food comes from. These are huge! Perfect for raised garden bed that won’t require bending to tend…should also keep critters out. Seem sturdy and look nice. Assembly was simple.
