The frame which I ordered separately is white which at first I thought… hmm.. with a black door But… we have painted the house white and the frame really compliments the door and house as you can see in the pictures. Only drawback is that it is VERY fragile, the finish as it chips super easily. My husband dropped one of the hinges and it bounced and hit the door and left a big chip in the black finish. I love this door. We paid 600 for installation. We were a little disappointed because I thought the glass would let in a little light. Our previous door bought on my light but no privacy. The door has two locks one automatically locks. The other is locked by a key. If you are looking for an aesthetically pleasing door to update your home buy it. ....Update this door is steel so it expand and contracts according to the weather. It cold now so it's hard to put the key in the door and the automatic lock does not lock, so you have to use your key to make sure it locks. There is also a space where cold come to the house. I’m very satisfied with this door. It looks even better in person and has a very clean, modern appearance. The black finish and horizontal frosted-glass panels give it a much more upscale look than the traditional door I’m replacing. I was especially impressed with the quality of the glass. The windows are double-pane, and the frosted finish provides privacy while still allowing light through. The door itself feels solid and well made, and overall the quality exceeded my expectations for the price. The door arrived with the hinge locations already prepared, as well as the openings for the deadbolt and door handle. I’m installing it into an existing 36" x 80" entry-door frame, so I may need to make some minor adjustments to the latch/strike locations, but that is specific to my existing frame and not an issue with the door. Overall, I think this is an excellent value for a modern entry door. Similar-looking contemporary doors can cost considerably more.
