The Monticello Solar Powered Ventilation System is designed to control the temperature in your greenhouse during the hotter months. Most plants will not flower and fruit at temperatures over 85 degrees. To get them to flower temperature control is key. Our commercial fan, exhaust louvers, and commercial thermostat are all made in the USA and our solar panel can produce more than 2 times the needed power to operate the fan at 100%, allowing for future options such as lighting and heating. The Monticello Solar Ventilation System allows for off-the-grid operation, getting power to your greenhouse where you need it. The system is easily retrofitted to other non-Monticello greenhouses as well. The system can easily be set up to run through a deep cycle marine batter to allow for power on demand, with or without the sun's power.

We have adapted this as an exhaust fan for our greenhouse. Made mounting more difficult, but this is due to the construction of our greenhouse, not the fault of the fan. Location and angle of the solar panel is critical to fan operation. Pros: Solar Power, so no electrical code issues. Cons: Thermostat wiring instructions are confusing. Margaret. Cambria, CA. This was an easy setup! One person on a non-windy day could probably set this greenhouse up alone, but I recommend having a helper if possible. After a couple days of adjustment my tomatoes and small herbs seem to enjoy spending their lives in this cozy greenhouse. We get a steady flow of wind with HUGE gusts. Days after installing this greenhouse I had a small camping tent fly about 5 feet, instantly I checked the greenhouse, it didn't budge. The framework appears sturdy and I have not noticed any immediate wear due to weather. I was prepared to sink a bag of concrete for anchors on the 4 corners of this thing but I am confident that the tie-downs provided will be adequate. Initially I struggled with the zipper being too tight to easily close the door, this was fixed after the 2nd use though, I am guessing I should have tested it before the zip ties in order to smooth that out. After all is said in done I'm incredibly happy to have this greenhouse.. Geraden. Port Angeles, WA. Wed Jul 21 2021
