This is by far the best market umbrella I’ve ever owned. I opted for the sunbrella fabric as it’s heavier than the other fabrics I’ve owned in the past (and did not last as long).This umbrella has a bronze colored pole and is operated by a hand crank although it does have an auto tilt feature. The auto tilt is amazing as you slowly keep cranking after the umbrella is fully extended, the auto tilt engages and the umbrella will automatically tilt. Once you start cranking in the opposite direction to close the umbrella, the auto tilt disengages and the umbrella stands upright so you can finish closing it. Our last cantilever umbrella broke at the hinge (in pictures) the hinge is plastic and unfortunately this one has the same type of hinge. With any good breeze, it will snap and fail. The umbrella itself is nice and I like the clasp for securing it better than Velcro ones. We noted that the pole where the crank is leaked water only when you extend the umbrella and has no way for water to run through when you have the umbrella closed.
