This umbrella anchor arrived very quickly and was well packaged. My husband recessed it into the decking so it would sit flush with the deck boards. He needed to add some blocking under the deck and he used 5.5 inch structural screws to anchor it to the deck underpinning’s. It worked very well and feels rock solid. Previously we had a 30 inch square thick plastic anchor which was so bulky you couldn’t slide chairs out on that side of the table. This plate has freed up so much space that the old anchor was occupying. I would buy it again.. Kathleen. Ottawa, ON. Wed Aug 05 2026

Always use a weighted base with umbrellas for safety. And you may need even more weight when high winds flare up or, you may need to take the umbrellas down for ultimate safety.

I love this stand. I have a 9 foot umbrella and use this as a stand alone. I have a small corner Where I place the umbrella and stand, when not in use, to keep it safe from the wind. It seems to be really sturdy. It is not difficult to move because it’s not too heavy. There are 2 handles to place hands to move it. I have a 1 12 diameter pole. At first I thought the insert for it was too small but I tried again and it took some muscle to push it in. I’m glad I did because that really helped with the stability and making it perfectly straight. I would recommend this stand for 9 foot umbrella or smaller.. Tamara. Mount Laurel, NJ. Sun Jul 05 2020
