This range hood is high quality. I bought a cheaper version a few years ago for my old house. I liked it, but now that I have this I can see where the cheaper one was lacking. This range hood is thicker steel that wont dent as easily. The oil tray is steel, the baffle filters feel commercial grade, the large duct size really moves a lot of air. I am glad I spent the money. Its loud but quieter than the old one. Relatively quiet for the amount of air it moves. The instructions are good, mounting is easy and secure. Fits great as this is one of the standard sizes. A little hard to install retroactively but we got it eventually. Light and fan both work great. Fan has two speeds which both work effectively. Bought this hood since I needed to replace my old one and I must say this thing is absolutely amazing!! Easy installation and it came in perfect condition with no damages at all, it has a motion detector for your hands so you don’t have to press any buttons which was very very cool, also it sucks up the smoke so fast and well. Definitely recommended if you need a hood for your kitchen. It has such a clean finish to it and it should go well with any kitchen. I definitely recommend this hood unlike other hoods that are slow this one will make sure your smoke alarm won’t go off if you are cooking and release too much smoke. This works very well, the only detraction is that, at it's lowest fan setting, it is very loud. This was something noted in previous reviews so we went in to this knowing it might be loud. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with this item. The box looks like it had been opened previously and there’s two marks that could be dents. They are not in an area that would be very visible. I spent a long time researching powerful exhaust fans to replace a non-ducted microwave exhaust. A recirculating exhaust is almost worthless at removing grease and cooking odors. I love cooking and often make dishes with strong odors I don't want to smell when I finish. This fan is so powerful yet not overly loud. It has removable stainless grates that can be put in the dishwasher. It's beautiful while not as overwhelming in size as many exhaust fans are. I never took it out of the box because after reading the installation booklet, I could find no instructions on how to install it in non-ducted fashion even though the product description said it could be installed without ducting. It showed "Option 1" (ducted) but no Option 2. While trying to research online for suggestions on how to install a nonducted unit, I found several complaints about the company's lack of customer service.
