We really wanted to like the PRO 500. We ordered it because its overhang over the stove was the largest out of all the models we saw, and we wanted maximum smoke protection. But we installed it and decided after seeing it in person that it felt too bulky for our kitchen. The sides were also too flexible and left a gap between the cabinet and the hood. We really needed this SNDOAS convertible wall mount range hood for our mid-century home kitchen. As you can see in the last photo, that is the hood we presently have. Needless to say, we are not fond of the looks AND it barely catches the smoke of the food we cook. We can’t wait to get the new hood up. We are waiting for our HVAC contractor to come out to install it. When it is up, I will post before and after pictures of it. Hood fan review Installation was easy but you need small hands to screw in the hood around the fan. The noise of the fan is not as quiet as I thought it was going to be but it will be fine. Looks beautiful!! Love it!! Even on the quiet mode it is somewhat louder than expected. It really moves the smoke and smells out of the house though!!
