This is a great product - lightweight, and easy to install. It is, however, expensive for what you get, a piece of foam. You also MUST use the correct adhesive or it will melt the foam. Overall, this is really an excellent product - just too expensive to use on a large project. Fortunately I only needed 12 inches of it. The grout is industrial grade performance even when subjected to enzymatic cleaners and other harsh environments. When applying grout to tile we recommend using The Tile Doctor Green Epoxy Float. We finished our basement and put this niche in the wall opposite the bottom of the stairs into the basement. The niche holds holiday decor, like this photo taken at xmas, and a Chiparus dancer bronze sculpture in between holidays. It fit in the wall perfectly and adds a great accent to our downstairs rooms.
