So far so good. The installation was tough as the template supplied for the alignment of the screw holes on the back didn't really work. We had to modify the holes on the back. We are planning on placing a stainless steel panel to cover the hole left by our microwave. The little remote was a cute feature I didn't realize it came with, so that was a bonus.. Jessica. I really love my new range hood! It arrived in perfect condition and is shiny and sleek. The lights are clear and bright and the fan is pretty quiet on all speeds. I had a handyman install it and only heard a few low mutterings to himself while installing it, but basically an uneventful installation that was vented through an existing roof vent. This hood is hardwired and was my preference because my old hood was also hardwired and I didn't want the additional expense to have an outlet installed. Broan has been around for a very long time and if I should ever need service or parts, it would not be problematic to obtain.
