Many parts in the first couple of steps are located inside a box, inside the main part of the grill. I did not see them until I was further into the assembly. But overall, the assembly was fairly simple, and the directions were clear and easy. We just used our new grill for the first time this past weekend. Out of the box, this griddle will NOT fit a Prestige 450, but I found it was easily altered to fit. As it is designed to fit the larger surface area of a Prestige 500, the rear spacer needs 1/4” cut off each side, and a small notch cut (see attached photos). The griddle is also too large front to back, but a couple of self-tapping screws along the back edge and inside the front lip of the barbecue prevent any movement. This griddle is really well made. Being stainless steel, there’s no seasoning needed - just clean with water after use to steam clean any food residue off. The bbq is great for the most part. A few details leave something to be desired. The drip pan doesn’t line up very well so it hits the edge and drips a bit into the bottom beside the propane tank. The door doesn’t latch solidly either (the magnet is terrible and small). The side burner runs very hot even at the lowest temperature which is a bit annoying as you have to get something to raise it so it isn’t so close to the flame if you don’t want to burn whatever you have on there.. We bought the Crown 310 over a year ago. It is the natural gas connected version from Broil King. Both my wife and I are retired and so most of my grilling is for just the 2 of us and the size of the bbq is about right. I grill probably 2 or 3 times a month all year depending upon occasions and dinner preferences. For personal use it is great. I have made some adjustments to the 310. I have filled in the hole/well in the bottom of the cabinet (propane tank) and have added a bar under the shelf for hanging bbq tools.
