We wanted an alternative to installing an awning, and this umbrella fits the bill. We've had it for a couple weeks and so far we love it. It's easy to raise, lower, tilt, and swivel. Putting it together was pretty simple, but definitely requires two people so one can hold the umbrella/pole in place. Don't attach the feet if you're going to use a base because you attach it directly to the base instead. (We bought the Madeley Plastic Free Standing Umbrella Base, which uses water or sand. It does not come with a base, just criss-cross feet.) The pole and supports are stout. The umbrella does creak and move around a bit when it's windy, which I expected because physics. ;-) The material does a nice job of blocking the sun, and I love the teal color.. Gmh. This umbrella is amazing for the price! It is huge!!!! It has such good coverage! It took us 15 minutes to build and was very simple. The methodology is that you put two big sandbags on the bottom so it is sturdy and then they have a fabric that you cover the base with so you don’t see the bags which make this really flawless and beautiful. My only issue with this is that the color of the umbrella fabric is much darker than it showed in the picture. Besides for that I love this and I can’t wait to utilize this in my backyard!!. Ariella.
