We are very pleased with these floor lamps though we feel they were a little on the pricey side when you consider the design. The construction is high quality and they are definitely not "flimsy". It is clear the cut manufacturing costs by having the electrical cord exit the base of the post as opposed to through the bottom of the base - which makes the view less "clean" but not a deal breaker. I wish they had photos of that when I was buying it. Easy to assemble, but the packaging is lacking and makes a mess when you unpackage the product for assembly.
