I purchased the black handles. The handles are 'dainty', not bulky, not large, only 3.5" which is better for a narrower drawer (not a giant cabinet door). A cottage/farmhouse look. It's quieter than I expected at 1200 CFM, and certainly at least as quiet as the more expensive hoods at the appliance store (although it's probably slightly louder than lower-flow hoods, so adjust your expectations based on that!)..
