My husband and son put it together in 3 hours. It really helped to have the second pair of hands. After 84 cubic feet of soil and painting it to match the garden shed near it, the vegetables and herbs are in and thriving. they are sturdy once you have the dirt in them, but seem a bit flimsy when empty. Be careful filling them, as I had my neighbor help me fill with his john deer and we had to go very slowly and level the dirt in layers so it didnt warp the shape. This is a great raised garden bed. We did get chicken wire and put it under the entire structure, so moles and gophers couldn't come up through it, and believe me they have tried. The flaps are great when harvesting the back side of the plants. I didn't give this a 5 star, because the gate doesn't stay shut without propping something on it or placing a rock pile under it. Perfect for my mini Urban garden. Easy to put together, I had it together by myself in an hour or just over. Being new to growing any type of food, and with limited space, this raised bed looks lovely and has enough space for several plants. I am very happy with this product, a little adjustment to make sure it was straight and tight before filling it up ensured it's not bulging out wards after filling. It been filled now for over a month with no bulging out the sides. It fit in a space perfectly that was unusable for anything else really, so growing something here was perfect. I do love the look of it as it is in my front garden, we live in a neighborhood so I needed something that looked nice. It is a bit hidden from street view. I added a few arch trellis to it, great for providing shade and netting, and if I get tired of growing veggies I can always grow flowering vines. I highly recommend this raised bed. Great garden bed. Instructions are vague as to the order of assembly and a bit tricky to assembly for one person because it's 4' x 8' (it's about 4" short of the 4x8 on both ends but still lots of room) but with a second person as extra set of hands, it went fairly quickly. The is contact paper is only on the outside of the panels. I suppose it's optional to remove but me being OCD, I removed it all. A bit time consuming but worth it. All the sides are 1 ft tall so the sides are two rows tall to get close to 2ft. Here's a tip to save you time... make sure the bottom of the top row panel overlaps on the outside of the top of the bottom row panel. Keep everything UNTIGHTENED until it's all together. Then go around and tighten it up. The rubber stripping is nice. It's snug and you get more than you need to be prepared to cut it to length. Consider wearing some kind of protective gloves so you don't get cut on the edges... I didn't wear any but I was diligent in handling the panels. Overall, great garden bed. Buddy. Bartlett, IL.
