I searched for literally hours for a range hood that had a CFM higher than 800, was 36" but didn't have the touch screen controls. I finally came across this range hood option since it was very decently priced. Overall, we are very happy with it especially considering what it costs. Range hoods can get quite speedy. My favorite thing about it is the real buttons! They are placed in a great spot and are super easy to turn off and on. The lights also work wonderfully. It works good getting the smells out. I would say the only con is it is a bit loud, even on the lowest fan but even with that, I would still really recommend this hood. Many viewers complained about the grates coming in a white color and not stainless steel as advertised - please note, they aren't white. I really love my new range hood! It arrived in perfect condition and is shiny and sleek. The lights are clear and bright and the fan is pretty quiet on all speeds. I had a handyman install it and only heard a few low mutterings to himself while installing it, but basically an uneventful installation that was vented through an existing roof vent. This hood is hardwired and was my preference because my old hood was also hardwired and I didn't want the additional expense to have an outlet installed. Broan has been around for a very long time and if I should ever need service or parts, it would not be problematic to obtain.
