I’m only giving this 4 stars because a pole arrived with a dent in it, also one of the rails where the curtains are supposed to slide from left to right is defective (unable to slide to the right side of the gazebo. Thankfully the customer service rep was kind enough to apply a credit to my purchase for the inconvenience of the dented pole, I didn’t notice the rail defect until my handyman fully installed it for me. It does take some time, but the process isn’t overly complicated if you’re patient and organized. A couple of helpful notes from our experience since we installed this near a chlorinated pool, we chose to use stainless steel anchors instead of the ones provided for better long-term durability. Also, measuring for anchor placement requires precision—there’s very little room for error. What worked well for us was assembling the top rail (the horizontal support connecting the three vertical posts) first, then standing the structure upright. This allowed us to accurately mark all 12 anchor holes before drilling. We did run into a manufacturing issue after unboxing (not related to shipping), but customer service was excellent. The replacement process was smooth and handled quickly, which we really appreciated. Overall, we’re very pleased with the final product—both in function and aesthetics. This gazebo is fantastic. It took my husband and a friend about 5 days to put it together. They worked about 5 hours every and the last day was just getting the fit on the patio and drilling the holes into the concrete to get it set and then hanging the screens and curtains. They did a great job and my husband followed the instructions fairly easy, as he was in construction and used to reading drawings, so it wasn't hard for him. Everything went together as it should have. I think one screw hole was out of alignment, so he made a new one. Other than that he had no problems putting it together. We love the size of it, its double of what one gazebo normally is. Gives us plenty of space for furniture and a fire table, and still room to add an eating table which I have not purchased yet. We love its wind resistance too. We get some crazy winds in the desert, sometimes 60+ mph, and we've since had just a couple days like that, and we have found it to hold up just great! You do hear a little rattle with that kind of wind, but not much. Its solidly in the ground and the parts are solid, holding together well. Can't beat this gazebo for its sturdiness and beauty. Function is awesome and I know in the summer we'll be able to close the curtains when the sun starts beating in any direction, and screens if the flies show up while eating. This came very quickly my contractors put this up with ease. We have had up to 35 mph winds and this thing is solid. Now that we are into the winter months we're expected to get 9 in of snow today it says that it will withhold at least 30 in of snow this was one of the best purchases that I have ever made. We really love our new pergola. Our Wayfair installer did a fantastic job. He said it was very easy to put together and made very efficiently with few parts. I put the side walls together and they were challenging. I highly recommend more than one person assembles and install sidewalls. We’ve been having consistent rain for the past few days and the gutter system works fantastic. We do not have any water coming through the roof when it’s closed.
