First opening the box, it looked to be a major undertaking. However it was a simple job. Just a few notes : some of the pieces are heavy, especially the umbrella holder and might need a second person. The raising and lowering handle was a bit tedious to line up the hole. The fabric blocks the sun well but still keeps the space bright and comfortable. The opening and closing action is smooth and the frame feels solid and well built. Once it is set in place, it stays put even in light wind. The quality of the materials is obvious, from the hardware to the stitching. It also looks great once it is set up and the color was exactly as advertised. I paired mine with heavy sand filled bases and the combination feels sturdy and dependable.
