We just had it installed yesterday. Recommend that you get a print out of the specifications and the installation. From what I was able to read in Wayfare’s description section, we would be able to install the unit flush with the ceiling. And unfortunately, because I didn’t have printed specifications we had to drop down the unit a foot from the ceiling. Not the inconspicuous flush mount unit and I was hoping for. According to my contractor, this was a very complicated unit to install. To be fair this is a relatively new category of range top hoods that are being offered. Pleased with the noise level, but have yet to cook with it. Read reviews from other previous purchasers, and a common statement was how small the remote controller was. The three-speed fan control system enables users to select from three different ventilation settings which match their current cooking needs and smoke production level. The system enables users to operate devices through either push-button controls or dial controls which do not require digital displays or complicated programming methods. The stainless steel baffle filters capture grease particles and airborne contaminants from exhaust air which enables easy maintenance through dishwasher-safe construction.
