So far, so good! I thought they were folding Adirondacks and clearly they are not, but that’s “on me”! They were easy to assemble, but it would be much easier with a helper…I assembled them by myself. Some of the pieces have to be held awkwardly when inserting the screws and bolts. My only issue was one of the “bolts and screws” packages tore open prior to opening the box, and those items fell everywhere. I luckily found each one, which was a big deal since there were no extras. These chairs are amazing. I got them in black. They were not difficult to assemble but I would suggest 2 people to do it. The first one i assembled myself and it took over an hour. I had help with the second one and it worked took about 30 minutes. I haven’t spent much time in them because I just received them yesterday and assembled them today. They feel really comfortable….very well made. Unfortunately a piece was damaged on the second chair that I could fix but it’s not a big deal because it’s under the arm rest. There is absolutely no need to worry about assembly, just a few simple steps, about ten minutes to install. I believe that you can handle it with your hands-on ability. The material of this chair outside looks almost identical to real wood, but until you sit in it you will find that it is more comfortable than wood, after all, with the passage of time, the wood must grow out of the splinter. The chair has stronger weather resistance because of the HIPS material but is also more smooth than traditional wood. There is no need to polish, paint or seal it for storage because it will not rot, peel or splinter. Some chairs are indeed practical but lack a graceful look. These chairs are great however they sit pretty upright compared to other Adirondack chairs. This is fine if that is your comfort level but just be aware of that before you purchase. These are much easier to get out of as they do not sit low either like some do. I gave 4 stars because there were some smudge type marks that were hard to remove. However easy to put together.
