It clears out heavy smoke, steam, and cooking odors in mere seconds. Even with that incredible power, it stays surprisingly quiet on the lower settings. The triple controls are easily the best feature. The gesture controls (waving your hand) are super responsive and a lifesaver when my hands are covered in grease or raw ingredients. This range hood is high quality. I bought a cheaper version a few years ago for my old house. I liked it, but now that I have this I can see where the cheaper one was lacking. This range hood is thicker steel that wont dent as easily. The oil tray is steel, the baffle filters feel commercial grade, the large duct size really moves a lot of air. I am glad I spent the money. Its loud but quieter than the old one. Relatively quiet for the amount of air it moves. The instructions are good, mounting is easy and secure. Hood fan review Installation was easy but you need small hands to screw in the hood around the fan. The noise of the fan is not as quiet as I thought it was going to be but it will be fine.
