I waited awhile few weeks to write this review. First I loved the look of the navy blue chairs. They were very well packaged. Nothing damaged. Assembly was a breeze. The back cushion is oh so plump and lets you sink in a little bit. Not too much. Perfect amount. The seat cushion is not as plush. I’m hoping it gets a bit less firm over time. It’s by no means hard. You sink in, but I wish it felt more like the back cushion. That would have been so much better. The cushions are zippered so I may add more filling later. The fabric is great, feels like it will last awhile. It’s not thin, it’s thick. Like a denim feel. As you can see the back of the chair is angled, it’s like a permanent reclining position with very deep seating. And that’s why I ordered it. But it’s not the best sitting position unless you have an ottoman. I’m trying to find the ottoman that they used to sell with this chair, but until then I’m adding a pillow behind my head to support my neck and keep it more upright. Otherwise it’s just not as comfortable as I feel it should be. It will be better after I add the ottoman. Overall it’s a great sturdy chair. Purchased this as an open box and couldn’t be happier. Insanely easy ‘assembly’, just screw in the feet and slot the back into the metal track. I bought this as a comfy chair for kitchen visitors and I think it’s going to be perfect. It sits firm but still cozy, and wide enough to curl up in, at least according to my dog in the photo (she is a 20-lb Scottish terrier for reference). I am very happy with my chairs. The size and color are just as expected. I did order samples of upholstery, which I highly recommend. By doing so, as seen in the photos, I was able to match very closely with my footstools. The seaming is beautifully done. HOWEVER, the reason for my four stars, is that the seat cushion extends several inches over the edge of the chair as seen in the photo. I’m quite sure this will affect how the seat wears over time.. With all of the unfortunate Covid shut downs over the last year or so, I was hesitant to order online furniture. I imagined mice cozying up underneath all the furniture left in all the dark, cold warehouses. But I needed furniture, so ordered this set of the sofa, love seat, and chair-and-a-half because they were 1) made to order, and 2) big. These arrived about eight weeks after I placed my order, well before the 12 to 16 week estimated delivery. I needed a set for a room with slightly green toned walls, and beige carpeting. These have an amazing combination of colors running through the upholstery so that they could probably go with any color combinations you could throw at them. As you can see in the pictures, they have light brown, a dove gray, and cream colored yarns, along with a slightly green yarn. I couldn’t be happier with how they look in my room. The cushions are very deep, and very comfortable. They have become the favorite spot for my whole family! The only negative thing that I could say about the set is that the pillows and back cushions are not lined inside, meaning that if you unzip them, you can pull the stuffing out by handfuls. As you can see, I did not use the original pillows but added my own. I plan to make linings for the stuffing for the pillows and cushions. I did not think that this was worth deducting a whole star though, because overall I am so pleased with this set. Icing on the cake, I was so excited upon opening the packaging around this furniture, to discover a fresh, delightful scent of freshly sawn wood. Everything arrived in great condition.
