The umbrella is great. Large in size and attractive. The assembly was a 2 person job at times and there was a point when the arm extensions had to be put on and the instructions should have mentioned that it would be a tight fit and might require force or maybe a hammer to help to slide together. Also the umbrella is a material I wasn’t expecting. I guess I was expecting more of a cloth but it’s attractive and we shall see how it holds up to the Las Vegas sun. One last thing. Wheels under the base to help with moving it would be nice because once you fill it with water there is no moving it without draining the water. And finally, giving a demonstration that has some walls or something would be nice so people who have walls or patio tops k ow that in order for the umbrella arms to open there is some clearance around the umbrella to open. First opening the box, it looked to be a major undertaking. However it was a simple job. Just a few notes : some of the pieces are heavy, especially the umbrella holder and might need a second person. The raising and lowering handle was a bit tedious to line up the hole. This is exactly what I needed to get rid of the big ugly base on my umbrella. The holes for the umbrella base are tapped for M8 bolts. The outer holes work for 14 bolts. The base is powder coated dark grey with some metallic flakes. This comes with 16 lag screws that are about 2” long. I didn’t use these as they wouldn’t sink far enough into the support joists.. I absolutely love this umbrella This umbrella has quickly become one of my favorite additions to the house. The coverage is impressive and it shades a large area without feeling oversized. The fabric blocks the sun well but still keeps the space bright and comfortable. The opening and closing action is smooth and the frame feels solid and well built. Once it is set in place, it stays put even in light wind. The quality of the materials is obvious, from the hardware to the stitching. It also looks great once it is set up and the color was exactly as advertised. I paired mine with heavy sand filled bases and the combination feels sturdy and dependable.
