Amazing...I grappled with buying these columns for 2 years, because of the non-refundable policy, so I had to be sure. I have a small porch so I knew I couldnt get the columns to wide or the proportions would look odd. So I used makeshift cardboard and the like to determine what to buy...I made the best decision with the 5.63 width columns they look amazing. My contractor bought 5 wood post from our local big box store and used brackets to install them on the porch. He used his nail gun to fasten each wrap to the wood post, he said it was rather simple to install. Next he caulked all the small nail gun holes and painted ( per instructions for winter protection) looks amazing. Make an entryway truly grand with a classic keystone block door pediment. An element is drawn from classical architecture, pediments can often be seen on the exterior around doors and windows. This wood pediment is intended for interior use. It is designed to work with ionic pilaster capitals that cap traditional fluted pillars and finished with colonial plinth blocks. For single doors, recommend using with pilaster casing mouldings and for double widths recommend using with pilaster casing mouldings.
