Our first base had a small crack in one corner, most likely due to shipping damage. Wayfair immediately replaced it and the 2nd base had stronger packaging material and came in good condition. The drain is very slightly off centered, which is how it was meant to be, but since we were replacing an older base that was centered, the hole and shower drain didn't match up. We purchase a small offset drain attachment which worked perfectly. The base is sturdy and strong and with the rings on the underside for support, it did not need any filling material. We first bought another shower base for basically the same amount of money. When it arrived, there was no way we could have the contractor install it. The supporting ribs were visible and there were other manufacturing flaws. The company we bought it for basically said tough. So we found this one and order it. Wow what a difference! This is a good solid shower base. It was generally square and straight although the front edge was a bit bowed out. It doesn’t come with a drain so keep that in mind.
